Mayo Pride Festival runs on the power of volunteers – without your invaluable support, we simply couldn’t do it.
There are lots of ways to volunteer at Mayo Pride. Take a look at the roles below to see how you could help.

Some of Our Volunteer Roles

Pride Hub Volunteer
The Pride Hub opens on Monday May 26th - Friday May 30th in Westport Town Hall. It’s open 12-6 and we need volunteers to help in the hub with ticket sales, Pride Merch sales and it’s also a space where people can come and pick up a Pride Festival Guide and maybe ask a question or two.

Parade Steward
This is a fun and engaging role that means you can still take part in the parade whilst helping to keep it moving. You will be placed in among the parade, walking with it ensuring that everyone keeps to the right side of the road and that the parade keeps moving swiftly. If you have a keen eye for safety and love parades this role is for you.

Creative and Decor Team
Volunteer with our Decor Coordinator to make our venues and parade floats look and feel fantastic. You could be touching up the old signs with a lick of paint, putting up bunting, banners and dressing the stage in preparation for our big day. You’ll need good mobility for getting around and have a creative eye for detail.

Event Host & Check In
Love being a good host? This role involves checking tickets at our events and ensuring everyone has a great first impression at our events. Love to dress up, look fierce and make a lasting impression? This role might be for you!

Photography & Videography
We are always looking for new eyes on our events to share the magic. If you have a passion for capturing people at their best and the beauty of Mayo Pride we would love to hear from you! This role involves attending multiple events across the festival.

Adventure Events Assistant
Are you an outdoorsy person? We need assistance for our hike and forest bathing events to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. Previous experience with outdoor and adventure events would be great but not essential.
