Mayo Pride

Mayo Pride Parade

Mayo Pride Parade

Sat, May 31st, 1:30pm The Fairgreen, Westport.

Join us for the 8th annual Mayo Pride Parade. This year’s theme, “Love Won But We’re Not Done”, marks ten years since Ireland’s historic marriage equality vote — and reminds us that the fight for equality isn’t over. From growing far-right hate to ongoing struggles for trans rights and queer safety in rural Ireland, the work continues. Pride is still a protest. And it’s still a party!

Meeting Point

The parade will meet at The Fairgreen Westport from 1:30pm and march to The Quay for a post-parade party.

Free Parade After Party - 🌈 Pride at The Pond 🌈

This year the official Pride Parade After-Party lands where it’s never gone before – Westport’s most ignored but most scenic strip of parkland: The Pond at The Quay!

As the parade arrives at the Quay around 2.15PM, the grass becomes our dance floor. We’re inviting you to pack your pride picnics or grab a takeaway bite from our food truck or one of The Quay's local gems and settle in for an afternoon of pure queer joy.

Expect top-tier entertainment from Mayo Pride’s finest:

🎤 Hosted by world-famous but internationally ignored comedian Mark T Cox
✨ Drag queen extraordinaries Shaquria Knightly, Donna Fella, Naomi Diamond, and Cornflake Girl
🎶 Live comedy performances from The Wild Geeze and the harmonious Sing OutWest Choir
🎉 Everyone’s favourite party starters Sing Along Social
🎧 With the walking piece of art that is Glamo on the decks, keeping the vibes high all afternoon.

So grab your best Judy, your ma, and your newly woke da – this is Westport Quay like you’ve never seen it before.

🤷 This is a non-alcoholic event, no alcohol will be served on site
♻️ Please remember leave no trace
🥾 Wear appropriate footwear – it’s No Mow May girls!

Please Donate

We will have volunteers collecting at the post parade party. You can donate with card, but cash is always quicker and easier if possible. Every Euro donated is a vote for equality, connection, here in Mayo.

Pride Youth

This year we are excited to create a Pride Youth group to march in the Parade. For any young people who might otherwise be on their own or want to march with others. Family members are welcome to join with you. Meet at the top of the Fairgreen – Look for the Pride Youth Banner. There will also be a Pride Prep Pop Up workshop for everyone earlier in the day which will be another great opportunity to meet people, more info here.

Mobility & Access

For people with mobility issues, please note parts of the parade are hilly. We will have a limited number of seats available in our bicycle rickshaws for those who can not march. Please contact us if you need assistance and wish to book a seat.
